LOS ANGELES — Amazon Prime Video’s Reacher spinoff Neagley dropped all eight episodes today, with early reviews praising Maria Sten’s lead performance while noting it works best when focused on action rather than exposition.
Sten stars as Frances Neagley, the no-nonsense private investigator and former military colleague of Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson, who guests). The series follows her investigation into a friend’s suspicious death that uncovers a larger conspiracy.
What Critics Are Saying
Reviews describe it as delivering the pulpy pleasures of the parent series, though some find the plotting uneven. Fans of the original should feel at home with the righteous beatdowns and competent hero.
Neagley arrives on Prime Video with solid action and a strong lead in Maria Sten, expanding the Reacher universe.
Aditya Shaw covers entertainment for Vervado.
