Julia Louis-Dreyfus will make her Broadway debut this fall in a star-studded revival of Jon Robin Baitz’s Tony Award-winning play Other Desert Cities.
The limited engagement begins previews on September 29 at the Hudson Theatre and officially opens October 18. It is scheduled to run through January 17, 2027.
Louis-Dreyfus stars as Polly opposite Ed Harris as Lyman, Allison Janney as Silda, Joe Keery as Trip, and Lily Rabe as Brooke. Tony winner John Benjamin Hickey directs.
The drama is set on Christmas Eve in a Palm Springs home where a politically connected family’s buried secrets surface when a daughter returns with a revealing memoir. The original Broadway production earned five Tony nominations and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
Louis-Dreyfus, an 11-time Emmy winner best known for Seinfeld and Veep, last appeared onstage more than four decades ago. In a recent interview she described the desire to return as “terrifying” yet something she had been craving.
Tickets are on sale now for the limited run.
