Longtime friends John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell are joining forces on screen again in the new dark comedy Wild Horse Nine.
The film follows a C.I.A.-centered story filled with sinister characters and political undertones. Both actors recently discussed the project, highlighting the real-life friendship that informs their on-screen dynamic.
Malkovich and Rockwell have collaborated before and share a long professional history. The new project leans into darkly comic territory while exploring the politics that underpin the central spy narrative.
Details on the full plot and release plans continue to emerge as the film moves through the awards-season conversation this fall.
The pairing has already drawn early interest from industry watchers for its mix of veteran talent and sharp, politically charged humor.
